In a recent class there was a middle aged man in a wheelchair who had lost a limb due to diabetes. He hesitated to make an action plan in the first class because he felt there was so little that he could accomplish. However, in the second class his action plan was to propel his wheelchair, by himself, one third of the way up a ramp that was in the hospital. At the third class he was very proud to announce that he not only made his goal, but that he surpasses it and now rolls up the entire ramp every day and has expanded his horizons immeasurably. He was roundly congratulated by the entire class.
